My Family

My wife Sherri and I will have been married 26 years this October 26th (2010). I can’t say enough good about her because she has put up with me through all the hard times and struggles in my life. She is also the mother of our two children, Morgan and Grant.

Morgan, our daughter, is 18 years old and very active in our church (Friendship Baptist) she loves to sing. She also enjoys riding horses and competing in horse shows. Morgan is a big help when we go to do a round pen or when I need help with the computer. Grant, our son, is 13 years old and active in church. He likes to participate in Bible drills. Grant is big enough now to help load and unload panels. He also enjoys riding and competing in horse shows.

I would also like to mention and to thank my mother and father for the good childhood they supplied me with. We had horses when I was a child and my brother and I competed in local horse shows. We also went to church as a family.

The Ministry

This is my testimony about what the Lord showed me through a horse as to how I should live my life. I was in my backyard working with a horse and learning how to use the dually halter. When I put pressure on the rope the horse fled backwards and had pressure on him until he stepped toward the master. When I saw this it was like I was wearing that halter because that was how I had been trying to handle my problems. When I had a problem I would try to handle it on my own instead of stepping to the master, God, and allowing him to handle it for me.

The Round Pen

There are twelve panels in my round pen. | There were twelve disciples.

All the panels are connected. | The disciples were bound together by Jesus.

Each panel faces a different direction, forming a circle. | We as people are all created the same, but have different gifts, points of view, and interests.

The roundpen panels are 10 feet long, but the gate is only 4 feet wide. | The gate is narrow (John 10:9).

There is only one way in and one way out. | We are born into this world, and we will die.

What is important is that we ask Jesus to come into our hearts and change us so that we can live in obedience to Him. How I live depends on how Jesus lives in me.
